As part of the previously established collaboration protocol between Şırnak University School of Tourism and Hotel Management and JW Marriott (Ankara),  a sector-student meeting was held.

As part of the collaboration between the School of Tourism and Hotel Management and JW Marriott Hotel (Ankara), the event aimed to address students' curiosity about the industry, boost their motivation, and contribute to their career development in terms of internship and employment opportunities in the sector.

The event was moderated by the Director of the School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sedat ÇELİK, with JW Marriott Hotel (Ankara) General Manager Dr. Hakan ARSLAN and Marriott International Regional Director of Investor Relations Şener SOYLU as guest speakers. Additionally, the event was attended by Vice Director of the School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ceren AVCI, along with faculty members Dr. Birsen ÇEVİK ÜNLÜ, Dr. Rıdvan SOLMAZ, Dr. Gökhan KADIRHAN, Lecturer Taner NUR, and Lecturer Yeliz ÇİÇEK ALAN.

The guest speakers provided students with in-depth insights into career opportunities within the tourism industry, addressing their questions by drawing from both academic and industry experiences. They emphasized the importance of making the most of internship opportunities, working in organizations with strong corporate cultures, mastering foreign languages, continuous personal development, networking, and collaborating with the right mentors and advisors.

During the event, the application process for internships and job opportunities was explained, highlighting how students could position themselves as priority candidates for internships and employment.
