• With the Semi-Olympic Indoor Swimming Pool, our
students will feel the difference of Şırnak University in their social lives,
as well as the education they will receive, with opportunities not available in
most universities.
Our university signed the Erasmus Declaration in 2010 and
made agreements with 20 countries, and with its outstanding efforts, it ranked
first among the newly opened universities in terms of grant amount and number
of benefiting students.
Our university has become the Contact Point of the
European Union Network Eurodesk, which provides information about European
opportunities in the fields of education and youth for young people and the
participation of young people in European activities.
Our University, which attaches great importance to
scientific and academic studies and carries out its studies with a universal
perspective, has won the appreciation of all our stakeholders with the four
successful international symposiums it held before it was even five years old.
Continuing its work with the slogan "An international symposium every
year", our University organized the International Şırnak and Its
Surroundings in 2010, the International İdil Symposium from Past to Present in
2011, the International Cizre Symposium in Science, Thought and Art in 2012,
and the International Hz. It hosted the Noah and Cudi Mountain Symposiums and
hosted hundreds of scientists from home and abroad. Our university has promoted
the province of Şırnak in a positive way with the successful symposiums it has
held, and has also contributed to revealing the social, cultural and economic
potential of our province.
In the studies carried out by our university faculty
members, the renewable energy and mining potential in our region was examined
and the values of Şırnak Province were tried to be revealed.
The City of Nuh Youth Museum Project and the Tarlam in My
Pocket Project, prepared by our university, were met with interest by the
scientific community and won international awards.
The Project of Improving Working Conditions of the Workforce
and Increasing Job Opportunities in the TRC3 Region, worth Four Million Euros,
developed by our university's faculty members, has been accepted by the
European Union Delegation to Türkiye.
In the cultural field, the Theater Project carried out by
our University and implemented within the scope of SODES, My Stage on My Back,
I'm Traveling Village to Village, attracted great attention and gained the
appreciation of the local people.
With the Spring and Sports Festivals held regularly every
year, our students are enabled to do sports, have fun and socialize with each
other; It is aimed to integrate our University with the local people through
events such as concerts, theatre, exhibitions and symposiums held open to the
public within the scope of the festivities.
