The
Gastronomy Club, operating
within the School of Tourism and Hotel Management at Şırnak
University, organized a cultural trip on April 26, 2025, as part of
the Tourism Week Events. The trip covered the Beyt-Zabde Culture and
Belief Route, visiting the significant historical sites of İdil and Cizre.
Participants were provided with guided information about the region’s cultural
heritage. The event aimed to promote the region’s cultural wealth through
on-site observations. The event attracted the interest of both academic and
administrative staff, offering participants an enjoyable experience while providing
an opportunity to closely explore Şırnak’s historical and cultural values. At
the end of the event, participants expressed their gratitude to the Gastronomy
Club for organizing the trip and to those who contributed to the event.
The Gastronomy
Club stated that such events held during Tourism Week contribute to
the promotion of regional values and emphasized that social and cultural
activities will continue within the university.
