Our School of Higher Education was opened in 2011 with the departments of Hospitality Management and Travel Management in accordance with the Additional Article 30 of the Law No. 2809 No. 4633. In the 2017-2018 academic year, it received its first students from the Department of Hospitality Management. Later, the name of the Department of Hospitality Management was changed to Tourism Management and the Department of Travel Management was closed. As of 2019, the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts (GCA) started to actively admit students. As of 2022, there are 187 students in the GCA department and 20 students in the Tourism Management department.

In addition to undergraduate education, the Ecotourism Guidance Master's Program with and without Thesis under the Institute of Graduate Education was opened in 2018 and started to admit students as of the 2019-2020 fall semester.

In our school, 2 (two) Assoc. Prof. Dr., 4 (four) Ph. Member, 2 (two) research assistants, 1 (one) lecturer, 4 (four) administrative staff, 1 (one) permanent worker.

Mission

As the School of Tourism and Hotel Management, our mission is to train qualified personnel needed by the tourism sector by providing a modern, scientific and quality education and training; to contribute to the production of knowledge in this field by conducting scientific studies in the field of tourism; to contribute to the studies that will create added value to the province of Şırnak and the Southeastern Anatolia Region by developing projects/activities in the field of tourism.
