You are about to make a choice that will affect your future by passing an important exam with your own efforts and the support of your family. We have written this article to help you with this choice to some extent.

This year, we will admit students to the Departments of Tourism Management (30) and Gastronomy and Culinary Arts (40). Both of our departments are very important departments both in our country and internationally. Because especially after COVID-19, the service sector collapsed and the problem of finding qualified personnel and managers emerged. In this context, both a shortage of managers and a shortage of intermediate staff have emerged in tourism enterprises.

The importance of tourism and food and beverage sector for countries is obvious. In the future, leisure time will increase due to developments in transportation and technology. For this reason, Tourism Management and Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Departments will become very important. 

When you choose the Department of Tourism Management, you will be able to take theoretical and applied courses, qualified English education (476 hours), and optional formation courses. Additionally, you will come to a department that trains well-equipped individuals in their field through sectoral studies. With the training, you will be able to swallow the dust of the sector and then become general managers, department managers or travel agency officials in hotel businesses, or you will be able to prepare for KPSS and become a teacher in high schools.

When you choose the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, you will become a gastronomy expert, cook, gastronomy writer, gourmet or foodie who will gain knowledge in the field of food, cuisine and eating and drinking through theoretical courses, and have the knowledge and skills to work in local, national and international cuisines by taking practical courses in an equipped kitchen. You will be able to become a food and beverage manager. You will also be able to become a teacher with KPSS after taking formation courses.

In addition, our students who choose both departments will have the opportunity to improve themselves in academic life by participating in the Academician Training Program.

You will progress towards becoming competent tourism professionals in your field by obtaining theoretical and practical knowledge within the School of Tourism and Hotel Management. Thanks to the education they receive, tourism students; Along with foreign language knowledge, tourism knowledge, gastronomy knowledge, you will gain the knowledge and competence you will need at every stage of life, such as recognizing different cultures, respecting differences, preserving and developing your own culture, and becoming entrepreneurial individuals.

Our duty is to contribute to you becoming sought-after people both in your business life and in your real life by equipping you with information and human values ​​appropriate to the requirements of the age. As a school, we are a family with our administrative and academic staff, local people and tourism stakeholders. Our duty is to coordinate this family in a way that will contribute to the development of you, our valued students, and to guide you in the steps you will take regarding your future.
