A
"Career in Gastronomy" seminar organized by the School of Tourism and
Hotel Management at our university was held at the 15th July Conference and
Culture Center.
The event,
moderated by Dr. Rıdvan Solmaz, a faculty member from the School of Tourism and
Hotel Management, featured speakers from various universities: Mr. Enes Güleç
from Hatay Mustafa Kemal University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yılmaz Seçim from
Necmettin Erbakan University, and Mr. Osman Keskin from Bitlis Eren University.
The seminar
was attended by our School's Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sedat Çelik, faculty
members, and students.
The
discussion covered topics such as career planning in the field of gastronomy,
opportunities for academic development, collaboration with the industry, the
importance of local cuisines, and the future of gastronomy. Participants had
the opportunity to gain inspiring insights from the speakers about their career
journeys.
At the end
of the seminar, the speakers answered questions from the audience and provided
valuable advice to gastronomy students regarding their professional
development. The event concluded with the presentation of certificates of
appreciation to the participants and a commemorative photo session.
